LISTSERV
CCSPA members receive access to the association's professional listserv, which provides timely updates on events, professional opportunities, and resources. The listserv also delivers invitations and links for quarterly live webinars, ensuring members stay connected to continuing education and community dialogue. Finally, members frequently utilize the listserv for referrals and professional consultation surrounding issues that impact elite athletes and performers.

WEBINARS
Education is one of the three pillars of CCSPA’s mission, and we are committed to delivering high-quality continuing education that supports professional excellence in clinical and counseling sport psychology. Members receive access to live quarterly webinars and on-demand recordings following the live webinar. CCSPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists and maintains responsibility for all programming and its content.

CONFERENCE
The CCSPA “Big Sky” Conference is the premier gathering of mental health professionals working with elite athletes in the US. Open only to members, this in-person event features invited speakers, peer-reviewed presentations, advanced training workshops, and guided topical discussions. Attendees gain training in cutting-edge psychological performance techniques, best practices in athlete mental health, multicultural competencies, and ethical decision-making in sport contexts.

MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
CCSPA membership is designed for licensed mental health professionals and trainees who serve athletes and performers. Our goal is to ensure that members have the training and experience needed to support athlete and performance populations. Membership is required to attend the annual Big Sky Conference. Once you’ve qualified as a Level 1 or 2 member, you remain eligible for continued membership.
Level 1 Membership
Mental Health and Performance Service Provider - $150
For independently licensed mental health providers with training in sport and performance psychology with a formal relationship with an athletic organization.
Requirements:

Proof of active licensure in mental health (include license number).

Proof of training in sport and performance psychology. Examples of verification include:

CMPC certification (AASP)
-
Supervisor letter confirming sport/performance psychology work
-
Degree from a sport/performance psychology program
-
Specialized internship or postdoctoral fellowship in sport psychology

10+ years of sport psychology service to athletes
-

Verification of a formal relationship with an athletic organization, such as:

Letter from an athletic organization or staff confirming role as a preferred provider
-
Listing on an athletic department website
-
Statement from a counseling center director verifying liaison role

Other documentation may be considered

If you no longer have a current organizational relationship but had one in the past, you may still qualify. Provide documentation of past roles along with evidence of current work with athletes.

Level 2 Membership
Mental Health Provider - $150
For independently licensed mental health providers serving athletes. While specific training in sport and performance psychology is not required for this level, a formal relationship with an athletic organization is required. Members are encouraged to pursue additional education in sport and performance psychology to reach Level 1.

Level 3 Membership
Professional in Training - $50
For those in training to become licensed providers, including graduate students, postdocs, and provisionally licensed clinicians.
Requirements:

Verification of enrollment in a relevant training program; OR

Evidence of provisional licensure; AND

A supervisor letter confirming formal supervised training.
Renewal requires a progress statement toward training completion.
